This blog post is part of an interview series for mental health awareness week. In this series, different people give their perspective on living with a mental health condition.
In certain cases as with the interview below, people have had the courage to share and to some extent, reveal their identity. This is brave, as it can be difficult and daunting. Congratulations to them!
This blog post has moved!
It has gone to “That’s mental, a platform to talk freely about mental health”. You can find it here.
Katie and Emma, thank you both for sharing. I’m really struggling with work stress, guilt and frustration these days and found this a really helpful read. I’m trying the trick of talking to myself as a good friend would, but sometimes it’s much harder than it seems.
Hi Lily! Sorry to hear you are currently going through a difficult time at work, but glad the blog post was a helpful read for you. Try not to feel guilty about feeling stressed or overwhelmed, if it’s too much then it’s too much! If you can, try to find a way to take some down time or make time for yourself and rest. And remember: it’s ok not to be ok. If you can, find someone to confide in who might be able to provide you with support. Best of luck!
